Kindergarten Teachers

Mrs. Carrie Davis graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She has taught at NCA since 1996. Mrs. Davis began teaching 1st grade and after 10 years, she moved to the Thrive Tutoring Program where she taught reading and handwriting for 3 years. Through her time spent in the Thrive Program, she discovered a passion for teaching Kindergarten which she has been teaching at NCA since 2009. Mrs. Davis and her husband Jeff have two children who have attended NCA. She loves to scrapbook and spending time with her family.


Mrs. Sarah Leighow earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Baptist Theological College. She taught Kindergarten, 5/6 grade, and Pre-K for 6 years in Miami, Florida. Mrs. Leighow and her husband, Matt, moved to Washington in 2005 with a desire to help plant churches. She joined NCA in 2007 as a full day Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Leighow and her husband have 2 boys who attend Northshore. She enjoys serving and fellowship with her church family, gardening, and game nights with her family and friends.


Mrs. Erin Sand earned her Bachelor of Science in Admin. Management and Business Communication at Central Washington University and her BA in Elementary Education from Western Washington University, Woodring College of Education. Mrs. Sand started here as a Kindergarten EA and served as the PTF Teacher Appreciation Coordinator and later as the PTF Vice President. She started at NCA as a Kindergarten teacher in 2006. Mrs. Sand and her husband, Jon, have two sons who have both attended NCA.

Mrs. Jane Wornick earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood/Elementary Education at the University of Idaho, and her Master’s in Early Childhood Education at Northern Arizona University. Prior to joining NCA in 2014, she had 19 years of experience teaching Kindergarten in Arizona. In 2014, she moved to Washington to be closer to her three children and their families in the Seattle area. Mrs. Wornick enjoys exploring the beautiful outdoors, reading about God, and serving others in many ways.
