Welcome to Northshore Christian Academy

Dear Families,

Thank you for taking the time to visit us on our web page. Northshore Christian Academy is a special place for students and families. We would like to extend the warm Northshore welcome to you too. I count it a privilege to assist in the education of children and to partner with parents in this important process.

Northshore Christian Academy is a place where students are taught by loving, passionate teachers who teach students to reach for their goals and achieve their best. Students are guided and taught from a Biblical worldview where learning prepares them for their future. Character training, positive social interaction, and Biblical principles are practiced as a significant part in training the whole person. Students are challenged to excel academically in a safe environment. Our graduates tell us that they are well prepared for their high school experiences whether in the public or private sector.

I love my job because I love kids! Every day, I look forward to spending time with students in the classrooms and hallways. I love walking down the hallways and seeing excited and happy students. I pray for each student by name. May they know the Lord intimately and discover their unique gifting as they learn and grow academically.

Meet Our Vice Principals

Mr. Michael Thornton is Vice Principal of NCA's Middle School. He began his career in education in 1980 and has taught for 18 years at the middle and high school levels. His emphasis has been A.P. U.S. History, U.S. Government, Economics, World History and Choral Music. Mike has also been active as an actor and director in community and Christian theater.

Prior to coming to Northshore, Mr. Thornton served as a public high school principal in the Four Corners region and before that as a pastor and Christian school administrator.

Mr. Jeff Culp is Vice Principal of 3rd-5th, STEM education, and NCA's Health and Safety Program.

Jeff and his wife, Kim, arrived from China in June this year. They have three children, two of whom are enrolled at NCA. Mr. Culp has served with the International Schools of China (ISC) for the past five years.

Mr. Dave Rehnberg is Vice Principal of K-2 and School Operations at the Academy.

Dave and his wife, Carol, have one child who is also enrolled at NCA. For over 25 years Mr. Rehnberg has served families in Christian school and church ministries in a variety of roles including: K-8 Principal, Junior High Principal, and Secondary Principal. Mr. Rehnberg is also the current president of the Principal’s Association of Christian Schools (PACS).
