Parent Teacher Fellowship

Introduction

Dear Northshore Families,

PTF Mission

NCA's Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) exists to support student development through serving, strengthening, and connecting the NCA community.

Objectives

• Promote parent involvement in school activities.
  
• Encourage teachers by providing parent support and assistance in the classroom.
  
• Provide financial assistance for special projects, or needs of the school as PTF funds are available.
  
• Volunteer time and talents for special events and fund raising activities.
  
• Provide a mechanism for parents to meet and fellowship with other parents.

Membership

All parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and guardians are automatically members of PTF. There is no membership process and no dues, etc. You are a member!

PTF Leadership and Membership Meetings

PTF has a volunteer Board that manages all of the PTF programs throughout the school year. Board positions include PTF President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary/Communications. Other board members include subcommittee chairpersons. The PTF President and Vice President work closely with NCA's Principal, Vice Principals, and Director of Admissions and Development. Our Admissions and Development Director, Denise Christian, serves as the main PTF advisor/contact.

PTF members are welcome to attend the monthly board meeting. There are no regular membership meetings but may be scheduled as needed. Please contact me, PTF President Kathie Schroeder, for the 2011-2012 school year, and let me know you would like to attend a monthly board meeting:  kschroeder@northshorechristian.org

Volunteer Opportunities

There are a variety of ways to volunteer. The main volunteer opportunities are listed below. For more information, you can attend the parent orientation in the Fall, visit the PTF website, consult the PTF bulletin board, read the Navigator News and/or contact the PTF President or NCA PTF Advisor.

• Volunteer Pool (Ad hoc projects like making copies, help with mailings, etc.)

Moms-in-Touch

Moms-in-Touch is a parent prayer group which meets every Thursday morning to pray for our children and school. There is room for more to join this powerful and important group. Prayer is the foundation of our school! 

Moms-in-Touch meet in the Auditorium Thursday mornings from 8:45-9:15am.
